How you describe your work to a kid: I’m an employment litigator, which means I help resolve disagreements between employees and their employers.
Diversity hero: Malala Yousafzai. Because even in the face of adversity she has showed such grace, courage, and maturity.
Why you serve on the diversity committee: Even though I am a fairly young attorney, my experiences have been enriched by more senior lawyers, paralegals, and support staff—many of whom are of diverse backgrounds—who have taken an interest in me and my career. I’ve seen firsthand the value of diversity in the legal profession, and appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the firm’s commitment to diversity.
Personal goal in five years: I’d like to convince my mom to get on a plane (she is terrified of air travel) and go with me to Italy—the one place in the world she has always wanted to visit.
