Year you joined DWT: 2006
How you describe your work to a kid: I help companies make work better for employees. I also help companies solve problems that they may have with employees who are not very good.
Diversity hero: My mother. As a widow, my mother moved to the United States with me and my brother. She worked menial jobs to give us a better life and send us to top schools. Now she helps political asylees get their green cards.
Why you serve on the diversity committee: The legal field is the least diverse of all professions in the United States. I am committed to helping DWT’s diverse lawyers succeed and have fulfilling careers (hopefully at DWT). I am also committed to making DWT more diverse and inclusive for all diverse lawyers. By improving diversity, I strongly believe that DWT will provide the best possible legal work to its clients.
Personal goal in five years: Continue developing as a lawyer and mentor. Also to make sure my kids are happy, healthy, and independent.
