Hometown: Portland, Ore.
Year you joined DWT: 2010
How you describe your work to a kid: I tell my own kids that I help other grown-ups who are fighting solve their problems, and also help people understand how to obey the laws so they don’t get into any trouble.
Diversity hero: Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Dr. Pauli Murray, a lesser-known lawyer, writer, and activist who made many contributions to the fight against gender and race discrimination.
Why you serve on the diversity committee: Because I don’t believe DWT can thrive as a firm without a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, ideas, and people. Also, I want to contribute what I can to making DWT a better place for all working parents.
Personal goal in five years: Take a vacation – all by myself.
